CLOWNS!!!

On Friday the 13th my friends and I went to a circus to watch all the clowns perform tricks. I was very confident of myself I wouldn’t be scared.

Once it was night we all went to check it out. Once we got ourselves a seat we looked around and wondered, where did everybody go. “We must’ve gotten here early” said one of my friends. Things were rather strange. I took around to see if anyone else was coming.

“We've waited for around an hour” I said. “We should go back now, it’s getting late.” But as soon as we got out of our seats the strangest thing happened. We were trapped inside. I started to panic. Once we looked back there was a clown standing right behind us.

This was no ordinary clown. He had an evil looking smile on his face. I couldn't remember anything that happened during that time. I must’ve blacked out. When I looked around I realised I was in a cage. There were skeletons everywhere. But I also noticed there were other people.

Then all of a sudden it became pitch black. I couldn't tell where everyone was. Then I saw the clowns perform their show. It made me even more worried.

After their show had finished they let us all go. “I guess this must’ve been the show all along” I said to my friends. We went back home around 8 ‘o’ clock. I was so relieved that it was finally over. I guess clowns aren't as scary as they seem.

A Sleep-over to Remember

It all began on Wednesday morning when my friend was to pick me up from my house. I was so excited I couldn't wait to go.

When my friend had picked me up, he showed me around his new house- new as he only just recently moved into it. It was amazing because there was lots of room inside his house to fit in heaps of things. I was amazed. It was very obvious that the size and space of the house was a key reason as to why they 
had moved there.

Once my friend had shown me around, we watched some videos on his iPad and we played some two player games on his PS3. The videos we had watched were really funny and later on we played his PS3 games. It seemed like we’d played for a few minutes but it was hours and we forgot about the time as we 
played.

Later on,  after we played some video games, my friend,his little brother and I went down to the dairy to buy something to eat. We had lots of money to spend so we bought what we had wanted. After we bought our food we sat down on a nearby bench and ate it and returned later on.

The Next day my friends mum had taken me and my friend back to my house. I had lots of fun when I was at his place and  there was never a dull moment.

The Night that was

It was a dark and stormy night. A deluge of rain hammered down on the roof of my house as I lay silent in bed. By the time I had fallen asleep something had awakened me from my slumber. I went to take a look and see what it was. I bravely took with me a flashlight to see everything around me.

Once I got outside a bolt of lightning caught my attention, and there it was. It was larger than bigfoot and way scarier. I took out my flashlight and pointed it at it but it quickly evaded and got away. I took another look around to see where it was. I checked the back of the house.

I was very cautious and discovered footprints all over the ground, and I had just gotten the most genius idea. If I had followed trail it would led me right to him. When I reached the end it wasn’t there. I went back inside and went to bed.

THUD! I heard a loud crash as if a bomb had just detonated. My parents heard the commotion and rushed off outside to see what had happened. I stayed put to be on the safe side. I heard my parents come back inside and silently go back to bed.

I decided to go and have a look myself I took a look around and saw a small crater in the front yard. I looked around for evidence of the creatures existence. When I looked up I saw a large creature standing on the other side of the small crater. IT was here. This time I did not hesitate to get out my flashlight and pointed it at him.

I was shocked. It wasn’t even there. I saw nothing at all. After all this time it was just my shadow playing tricks on me. I felt pretty stupid. I thought to myself why were there footprints, How’d my shadow appear up on the roof, and what was the loud noise.

The next day I figured the answers to my questions when I looked at the cameras on my house. the footprints were left by a dog passing by and the thing on the roof was nothing at all, it was just the shadow of the tree when the lightning struck. The loud noise turned out to be broken glass when a tree broke through it. The crater was a hole the dog dug up. I felt happy that this mystery was finally solved.

Phoenix Tale

Phoenix Tale

Once in a lifetime someone in a village tells the story of a phoenix that they've seen before, and it’s true.

One day a group of people saw it at the same time and told the whole world. Lots of people heard the rumors and suddenly the search for the phoenix began, with people coming from every place around the world.

Lots of people far and wide came to search for this mythical creature, but not everyone had the same intentions as the others, some people wanted just to see it, some other people wanted to study it while other people wanted to poach it. With lots of people looking for it it would've made it hard for them to hide.

Eventually some people saw it and then everyone went to look and see, they could only see shadows. Being a mythical creature, phoenix’s would've learnt how to hide from people. Lots of people searched and no luck, until some shadowy figured shaped like a large bird appeared right in front of their eyes, everyone were astounded by what they had just seen.All of a sudden the creature disappeared into thin air. A rare and mythical creature appeared in front of them and that is something that tells them that their close to what they’re looking for.

Everyone scouted the area for what they saw, and yet they were stuck once again looking for it. Everyone frantically searched the area for any sign where it went to so they could catch another glimpse of the creature.

after many days away from their homes, people started leaving and so finding the creature got harder to find each time someone left. Eventually most people had left the area, but all of  sudden they saw where the phoenix’s lived. Lots of scientists studied what they saw. It was an amazing discovery. Their hard work was finally over and the world didn't need to find out anymore. After a while, what the people saw years ago was just another myth for the world of today.

Human Feelings!

                                Feelings

People have different ways of showing their feelings and these are some of the feelings we have.

Some people show their anger by clenching their fists tightly together. Another way to tell is when they stomp loudly and have a large frown too. Some adults also do this too. Every person has a time when they’re angry and some people do it differently than others.

Another emotion that people can show is how happy they are. People show when they’re happy by smiling and acting casual. Most of the time people are happy, and it’s good being  happy.

another emotion is sadness. The most easiest way to tell when someone is sad is when they cry. Lots of people cry  and it’s only natural. Sniffling can point out that someone is sad.

the other emotion is scared. People can be scared at times, and everyone gets scared once in a while. There are many things that can scare people such as ghosts and jump scares etc.

People show emotions in different ways such as anger, happiness, sadness, scared etc. and everyone does it everyday.

Crabs

A crab can live in many places around the world. They can be found in almost every continent but Antarctica.

Each different kind of crab has many different personalities. Some crabs personalities are hiding, and others wait to find prey. Each crab is completely different from another crab eg. a Japanese spider crab is completely different from a hermit crab because if its size.

Each thing a crab has in common is their exoskeleton.. Each crab has an exoskeleton. An exoskeleton is like a skeleton but on the exterior. Crabs aren't the only creatures with exoskeletons, ants also have it. The crabs exoskeleton is very handy when going against its prey, so they can’t inflict damage.

Crabs are a lot alike and also very different at the same time. Some have different attitudes from others. They are also the same in some ways like how they each have an exoskeleton, claws, feelers etc.

Euphrasie Barbier Wordle!

Using close reading skills I have found some key information about Euphrasie Barbier. The wordle is composed of the information that follows.

Euphrasie Barbier was well known for being foundress of the Mission Sisters and was born on January the 4th 1829 and died on the 18th of January 1893.

Through most of Euphrasies life, she was positive and dedicated with what she did. She was also determined to overcome new challenges. Some of her other values and attitudes were helpful, faithful, loving, patient, grateful, respectful, responsible, loyal etc.

Her actions demonstrate her attitudes and values.
